Situated in Cardiff Bay, the Wales Millennium Centre is an iconic building that hosts some of the worlds greatest musical and dance productions. It was an honour to work with such a renowned organisation to create the story of their building. We were inspired and amazed by the amount of detail within the design and construction of the building.
Our aim was for the animation to bring to light the building’s Welsh natural and industrial inspirations, as well as celebrate the organisation’s achievements and contributions to the arts.
We enlisted the help of Tom Kavanagh to compose a theatrical and emotional piece of music to reflect the grandiose design, combined with the dulcet tones of Noni Lewis, who delivered a soothing and engaging reading in both English and Welsh.
The video was designed to work bilingually, with and without audio. The video is used in and around the building on varying displays, including their large screen at the ticket desk and projected on the wall for guests to view when they visit. An alternate design was provided to work in Portrait for their screens that sit outside the venue advertising upcoming shows.
